sunshine award nomination

I may not have won a Grammy last night, but I did get nominated for the Sunshine Blogging Award! Woot woot! I’m new to the blogging world, so I didn’t even know there were awards out there. Apparently, there’s lots. I feel like I’m in 3rd grade again making the top ten in the spelling bee. Can I compete? Will I win? How DO you spell widget? <blogger’s terminology> In all honesty, I had to do a little web-search on the Sunshine Blogging Award, and what I discovered was 1) if you’re nominated, you are basically a winner, and 2) there are a few different versions of the rules out there! So, I’m going to follow along with this sweet blogger who nominated me at Music Moving Forward. Big, huge THANKS!

As a part of being nominated, there are a few “rules” I have to follow. So, y’all get to join me as I am a rule-follower and as much as possible I obey the rules. ;) So, the rules require me to include the following in this post:

1. Feature the Sunshine Blogging Award logo.
2. Link the individual who nominated me. (See first paragraph!)
3. Write ten pieces of information about myself.
4. Nominate ten fellow bloggers {each having under 200 blog subscribers} who inspire me and deserve a little blogging love!
5. Leave a comment on each of the bloggers’ blogs to let them know they’ve been nominated, too. Yay!

1. I lived in Santa Cruz County, California for the bulk of my life until moving to Tennessee eight years ago.
2. My favorite color is red.
3. I’m a night owl {my husband is snoring away as I type this}.
4. I prefer cold weather to warm weather {and I really love snow!}.
5. My sister and her family are moving to Melbourne, Australia in June {I’m stocking up on tissue for the cry-fest}.
6. I haven’t been my “natural” hair color since I was 17.
7. Wearing red lipstick makes me feel better on those days that are a little tiresome. {That and a little more sleep, of course!}
8. I love blogging far more than I thought I would {what a relief!}.
9. I am married to the most compassionate, honorable, servant-hearted man, who is God’s perfect provision for my life. <3
10. I have committed my life to Jesus, who lived a perfect life, and died the death we should have died, but then rose to life to give us life! {And I’m happy to share more if you ask!}
