I hope y’all had a wonderful Mother’s Day! I was so surprised that my hubs had my three adult adopted-daughters come over before church yesterday for a yummy and super special Mother’s Day breaky. I am so thankful to be a mom-in-the-Spirit to these young women. They are such a joy!
I also got to spend the afternoon with my own mom and our family. I love getting to honor her for the woman of God she is, and for how faithfully she has loved me through the years! She is a woman who truly has everything, so I try to get my diy creative inklings movin’ for her gift whenever I can. This year, I landed on doing a little paint dipping project.
I started with these adorable serving utensils from a recent trip to Ikea.
I also bought a small terra cotta planting pot from Ikea (just $2!). Then, I brought down the left over paint from Macey’s room make-over (which you can see here). It’s a light minty color and so fresh for spring!
Next, I just dipped away. So simple, but make sure you wait over the paint bucket long enough so all the drips dissipate.
I let them dry and then added a little personal touch to each of them with my metallic gold pen.
I added a little plant with the planting pot and tied some ribbon around the utensils. The result for each turned out so cute!

SO cute! You have such a talent, Ronda. I’m totally going to try the utensil dip, I love that idea. I would do the planter as well, but as it turns out, I have sort of a black thumb :(
It’s so easy, Meggi! And I have a bit of a black thumb as well, which is why I gave the plant to my mom… Haha! Love you!
