I’m thrilled that there are not just one, but TWO weddings that I will get to help plan this season! {See who’s gettin’ hitched here!} I’ve done my fair share of wedding planning and coordinating through the years (I work for a church, so there’s lots of weddings all the time!). I loved planning my own wedding and was so thankful for the sweet women who coordinated the ceremony and the reception for me. What a miraculously wonderful day! {See photos from my special day in 2012 from my dear friend and amazing photographer, Kelly McCord, here!}

As I was planning my own wedding, I discovered that there are a lot of great wedding resources and books out there to help a girl prepare for likely the single most extravagant event she’ll ever host for all of her family and friends. However, I also came to find out that as great as all of these planning resources are, none of them had every single thing I wanted and needed in order to plan this awesome day. So, I started creating my own, cuz that’s how I roll!

Now, any of you who know me know that I don’t do things half way, I don’t leave things undone. Thus, some of the lists and things that I’ve created might feel a bit over the top for some of you. :) My hope is that you’ll find something that helps you in every way possible to be the hostess-with-the-mostest-bridal-diva ahead of the game so that all you have to do the week heading up to your wedding day is sit back, get a massage, enjoy the people in your life and anticipate your life together with your hunka-burnin’ love of a man! That said, as much as I would hope that I’ve covered all the bases, there will always be some things that you may need in preparation that I didn’t cover. Not to worry, there is plenty of additional space to add in your own to-dos!

When I create my “Here Comes The Bride Wedding Planner” for local brides, it includes the following:

  • A nic-nac pouch (to hold all those little extras)
  • Pens, pencils & highlighters (always needed)
  • Sticky notes (to mark pages in magazines, books, etc. that the bride wants to remember)
  • Blank note cards (to write a special note, to make a list to give to someone, etc.)
  • A calculator (to add up wedding costs, guest counts, etc.)
  • Lipgloss (just because a bride’s lips should always be moisturized!)
  • A calendar (to keep track of all the important activities leading up to the big day)
  • My “Here Comes The Bride” Wedding Planning Checklists (one for the bride, and one for the groom)
  • My “Here Comes The Bride” Bridesmaids Cheat Sheet (to help those special women in your life know what they’re going to be wearing and what to shop for!)
  • My “Here Comes The Bride” Contacts List (to keep track of vendors, etc.)
  • My “Here Comes The Bride” Day Of Emergency Kit (one for the bride, one for the groom)
  • A budget sheet (I haven’t created my own yet because this one is awesome from Botanical Paperworks!)

Truly, it’s an honor helping the brides in my life get the most out of this exhilarating season of their lives!
