paleo chocolate brownie

We left town for a few days to get some rest and rejuvenation. I love times like this – no agenda, no to do list, just my hubz and I enjoying our surroundings, one another, and the Lord. And, bonus, it snowed!

This is a delicious and decadent chocolate brownie great for any occasion. And, as is the usual for the recipes I make, it’s suuuuper simple!

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 cup almond butter
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp goat butter or coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. In a bowl, whisk together the almond butter, syrup, egg, butter, and vanilla. Stir in the cocoa powder and baking soda until mixed well.
  2. Pour the batter into a 9-inch baking pan (square or round). Bake for 20-22 minutes, until done, but still soft in the middle.
  3. Eat. It. Up.
